If you are like us this thought is likely going through your mind at this very moment—thank heavens it’s Friday! Here, our top picks for what to do this weekend including shopping for that perfect mod dress to wear this spring and going to a pillow fight (Saturday is International Pillow Fight Day after all).

DRINK: If you are like us, you love sipping on the perfect Manhattan to unwind with at the start of the weekend. The drink originated at the Manhattan Club in New York City in the early 1870s, where it was invented by Dr. Iain Marshall for a banquet hosted by Jennie Jerome (Lady Randolph Churchill, Winston's mother) in honor of presidential candidate Samuel J. Tilden. The rest is history. The best Manhattan in our humble opinion is at New York City's The Carlyle's Bemelmans Bar (pictured). In other words, that's where we will be all weekend. For more information visit rosewoodhotels.com

SHOP: With spring in the air, we are on a serious hunt for the perfect mod dress, inspired by the swinging 1960s trend from the spring runways. One of our favorites is Kate Spade Saturday's Everyday Shift Dress in Signature Zig Zag ($170, saturday.com).

PLAY: Saturday, April 6, is International Pillow Fight Day (we seriously couldn't make this up if we tried). In cities around the world including Amsterdam, Chicago, and Shanghai there will be major pillow fights in public spaces, celebrating what organizers call the "urban playground movement." Head to the website to find out where the pillow fight is in your area. For more information visit pillowfightday.com

EAT: Food lovers rejoice! Brooklyn Flea's Smorgasburg food market kicks off the season this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. For those who don't know what Smorgasburg is, over 100 vendors set up at the food market offering everything from fried chicken filled biscuits to lobster soup dumplings. Essentially it is a foodies paradise. Don't live in New York City? Head to your favorite food truck this weekend for an impromptu picnic. For more information visit smorgasburg.com

PAMPER: Now this is a holiday that we can get behind. Sunday, April 7, is National No Housework Day. Instead of cleaning this weekend, why not pick up that book that you have been dying to read. On our reading list? The Baroness by Hannah Rothschild ($26.95, amazon.com), which tells the story of Nica the black sheep Rothschild, taking place in the 1950s.

WATCH: Season six of Mad Men is kicking off on AMC on Sunday, April 7. We couldn't be more excited for the two hour premiere which begins at 9 p.m. While we have absolutely no idea where this season is going, creator Matthew Weiner is an expert at keeping it a secret, we do know that we will be watching while sipping Don Draper's favorite cocktail, the Old Fashioned.
