If you’re constantly underwhelmed by the caliber of guys in your zip code, it might be time to move–or at least take an interstate vacation. A survey just released by Grooming Lounge has revealed where the country’s hottest men live–and some of the results might surprise you.

By looking at the amount men spent on personal care services, products, shaving, and apparel, combined with data from the American Fitness Index Report about the fittest cities in the nation, Grooming Lounge was able to come up with the ranking. So while one woman’s “handsome” might be another’s, “hell no,” the survey actually measures how much effort the men in each city put into their appearance to make the results less subjective.

Seattle came out on top, with the average guy investing about $3,413 on personal care annually. In second place is San Francisco (the city that gave us Eric Dane of “Grey’s Anatomy” fame), then Washington D.C.–which was also named the nation’s fittest city–followed by Boston, Denver, and New York. The study ranks the top 25 cities, with Miami, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Las Vegas taking out the bottom spots.
