Alicia Vikander knows her way around a period drama—perhaps you saw her Oscar-winning turn in “The Danish Girl”?—and this summer, she’s turning the clock all the way back to the 17th century in “Tulip Fever,” a film about a torrid love affair between an artist (played by Dane DeHaan) and his married subject (Vikander). Cara Delevingne costars as Henrietta, one of her five (!) movie roles debuting in 2016.

Another fun piece of trivia about the film? Harvey Weinstein initially offered the part of Delevingne’s lover to Harry Styles, but the One Direction star turned it down due to scheduling conflicts. Ah, what could have been.…

Regardless, the movie looks equal parts sexy and suspenseful—always a winning formula. The screenplay was written by Tom Stoppard, the British playwright and screenwriter behind “Shakespeare in Love,” and adapted from a novel by Deborah Moggach. Watch the first trailer below:
