When holidays fall right smack dab in the middle of the week, we like to look at this as an opportunity to extend our weekends. (There’s also the fact that it’s the middle of the summer and our tans need some major work.) With that in mind, we’re venturing out the city this weekend for some much needed rest and relaxation.

We decided to round up what we’re calling our weekend getaway essentials. Ranging from a few beauty products to a must-have bikini and a read for the long ride home, here are our go-to items to avoid over-packing. What are your essentials? Weigh in below!
