We love you Netflix, but it might be time to give Amazon Prime a go. See, there’s one major flaw in the streaming network’s programming: While Netflix has plenty of new shows and movies, and old favorites like “Friends,” “Sex and the City” is nowhere to be seen on their lineup—but Amazon Prime just added all six seasons of HBO’s SATC to its offering.
HBO and Amazon inked a deal last year to give Prime subscribers access to dozens of the network’s best shows, however “Sex and the City” wasn’t included in the first release of series. “‘Sex and the City’ became one of the most popular shows on TV over its six season run, and we are excited today to give our Prime members access to every episode to watch anytime, anywhere, as part of their membership,” Amazon’s vice president of digital video, Michael Paull, announced in a press release.
Until now the only way to watch (well, re-watch) Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha was by buying the DVD set, or subscribing to HBO Go, but now you’ll just need a membership to Amazon Prime.
If you don’t have a subscription, it’ll set you $99 for the year and also gives users access to tens of thousands of movies and TV shows through Prime Video, more than one million songs, unlimited free two-day shipping on Amazon orders, photo storage, and over 800,000 Kindle books.
Or, you could always sign up for a free on month trial and binge-watch as much as possible in 30 days.
