I’m someone who’s fascinated by every single thing that has to do with Elvis Presley, so Riley Keough, the daughter of Lisa-Marie Presley and oldest granddaughter of Elvis and Priscilla, has been on my radar since the early 2000s. I remember reading about her opening the Dolce & Gabbana show in 2004 and thinking how lucky she was to be born so beautiful and be blood-related to American rock royalty.
Since then, I’ve kept loose tabs on the model, who went on to bag a Miss Dior Cherie perfume ad, appear in a few movies, and walk for Victoria’s Secret in 2012, but mostly found she got lost in the shuffle as other girls her age whose names may or may not begin with the letter K rose to fame for more dubious reasons.
Now, suddenly, I’m seeing Riley all over the place—on red carpets, sitting in the FROW at top fashion shows, and posing with It-girls like Zoe Kravitz. And she looks chic AF.
It makes sense: The 26-year-old had a big year, costarring in 2015’s biggest runaway hit “Mad Max: Fury Road” opposite Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, and was cast as the lead in the show I’m most excited about this spring, Starz’s “The Girlfriend Experience,” based on director Steven Soderbergh’s film of the same name about a call girl who offers the “girlfriend experience” to clients.
Since Keough’s star is most definitely on the rise, designers have been clamoring to dress her, and it shows—she’s been snapped during the last year in labels such as McQueen, Vuitton, and Dior, and manages to pull it off in a way that looks luxe enough for Hollywood but cool enough for the fashion crowd.
Here, a selection of her best style moments to date, because I’m pretty sure there will be a lot more.
