November is when the holiday season really gets in full swing, from Thanksgiving to Christmas and Hanukkah preparations. And it is also a rare month with extra days off to spend with your family and friends, over delicious eggnog of course.

One exhibit on our must go to list during November is the London V&A's ballgowns exhibit. The exhibit features more than sixty designs created for social events such as private parties, royal balls, state occasions, and opening nights (in other words, its fantasy land). Who doesn't love a good holiday window? Some of the most impressive are at Selfridges in London which are already on display. A movie that is on our radar is "A Late Quartet" about members of a world-renowned string quartet trying to stay together, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Christopher Walken and Catherine Keener. The movie hits theaters November 2.

The two best shoe brands in the world, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin are going to head to head with two of the biggest sample sales during the month of November. The Manolo Blahnik sale is set for Novmeber 6 and 7 at the Warwick Hotel in New York City.
