Nick Jonas, everyone’s favorite Joe Bro (sorry, Kevin and Joe), has given us one more reason to celebrate that it’s Friday, dropping his latest single and music video, “Close.” It’s the first track off his upcoming album, Last Year Was Complicated, which, if we were to take an educated guess (thanks, Twitter!), is about his ex, former Miss Universe, Olivia Culpo and his inability to be vulnerable.
The video features Jonas and singer Tove Lo, who’s featured prominently on the track, in a warehouse, where they bare their hearts and souls to one another, while also ripping off their Yeezy season 2-esque clothes and writhing on the concrete floor. Verdict? The entire thing is strangely fascinating and oddly satisfying to watch (full disclosure: I’ve been watching the video on repeat for the past hour).
Jonas also took to Twitter to let us know that we might need “a few cold showers afterwards“…um, agreed. Here’s to the heartbreak album of the year—breaking up is never fun, but Nick looks damn good doing it.
