Planning your New Year’s Eve celebrations can be one of the most stressful parts of the holiday season, second only to shopping for Christmas gifts and dealing with family you haven’t seen in a year. So many factors come into play: What to wear? Where to go? How much to spend? Luckily for you, we decided to skip those details, and focus on what really matters: where the celebrities will be toasting Dom Perignon and watching the ball drop.
In the gallery above, we’ve compiled your best bets on where to spot stars this New Year’s Eve, all around the globe—from pricey parties at nightclubs to a lavish (and last minute) vacation! Hey, you can’t put a price on ringing in the New Year with Gwyneth Paltrow or Rihanna.

From St. Barth's to Times Square, we've assembled the top 10 places to spot celebs on New Year's Eve.

Shell Out Cash For Entrance To An A-List New York City Club

Yes, it may be a fortune, but something tells us it's worth it. For a minimum of $250 (which doesn't include drinks) to a $4,500 table that comes with a "complimentary" bottle of champagne, you can ring in the New Year with rapper of the moment Azealia Banks, who will be performing at the Top of the Standard at New York's Standard Hotel. Considering the mid-priced table ($1,500) is sold out, our guess is this will be one of the hottest tickets of the year. Book it while you still can—and if you really feel like splurging, snag a room at the chic hotel, where you're sure to witness some celebrity debauchery in the wee hours of the morning.

Head to a Concert at the Barclays Center

This may surprise you, but some of the world's most famous will be at a concert on New Year's Eve. Okay, it's not just any concert, but Jay-Z and Coldplay at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Given the celebrity wives alone, we can practically guarantee Beyoncé and Gwyneth Paltrow in the audience, if not up onstage. Jay-Z concerts always feature mind-blowing special guests, so this is not one to miss. Surprisingly, tickets are still available on Stubhub, ranging from $173 to $1,500.

Check Out a Hot Downtown New York City Restaurant or Hotel

Obviously, if a celebrity is in town, they're staying somewhere chic, thus making it the perfect place for some star stalking. Rather than just creepily loitering outside, hit up a hot restaurant in one of said hotels, like TOY at the Gansevoort NYC in the Meatpacking District, which tends to be crawling with celebrities every week. Stars like Channing Tatum and Solange Knowles have stopped by, and for New Year's Eve, they're offering up a special menu with delicacies like kobe beef, foie gras tartare, and wagyu tenderloin ($95 or $175 a person, depending on seating time). Book a table for your friends for a night you won't forget (unless you want to).

Get Yourself to St. Barths

If you're lucky enough to be vacationing in the glamorous destination of St. Barth's, you're in luck—plenty of chic famous people will be doing the same. Some of the world's biggest celebrities will celebrate the New Year at Roman Abramovich and Dasha Zhukova's (pictured) annual St. Barth's bash (which cost about $7.5 million last year, and drew A-listers from Martha Stewart to Marc Jacobs). Since you won't be able to crash that party, you can still buy tickets to the swanky bash at Bagatelle St. Barth's. Prepare to catch a glimpse of style setters like Georgina Chapman, who heads there when she's in town.

Visit a Random Los Angeles Club

Since Los Angeles is the place with the most celebrities per square foot in America, it's a safe bet that any of the city's popular clubs will feature a slew of famous faces party hopping until the early morning hours. Some, like hotspot Bootsy Bellows, have random hosts—like David Arquette (pictured). General admission for these establishments is around $100 and features an open bar (which you'll probably have to fight for). Nonetheless, it's sure to be an experience. Snag tickets to some of LA's hottest clubs here

Take Your Times Square Virginity—In Style

Look, it may not be the most desirable destination in the world, but Times Square is where many of the world's biggest celebrities will be celebrating as the ball drops and 2013 is welcomed (performers this year include Taylor Swift and Psy). If you don't feel like standing with the masses (and not be able to use the bathroom for about five hours), head to a nearby destination like Haven Ski Chalet, the winter rooftop at The Sanctuary Hotel, where you'll have a full view of the action. With a modest rate of $125 per person that includes a four hour open bar and champagne toast, you'll feel like you can cross the Times Square New Year's celebration off your bucket list, even though you didn't really go.

Attend Kim Kardashian's New Year's Eve Party (Obviously)

Another holiday, another party hosted by Kim Kardashian in Vegas. This year, her shindig is at 1Oak at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. Obviously, gaining entrance to the event doesn't guarantee the chance of hanging out with Kim or her entourage, which will probably include Kanye West, but you may hear a special performance or two. Obviously, this one will be pricey, with general admission at $125 and table reservations around $3,000. But hey, it's Vegas, baby.

Loiter Around Star Island

P. Diddy throws an infamous bash each year at his Star Island Miami home that last year drew the likes of Rihanna and Nelly. Considering that Star Island is also home to A-Rod and Gloria Estefan, you are bound to see a celeb just by loitering about. Once you've gotten your fill of star stalking (we aren't judging don't worry), head to The Wall New Years Eve bash, where VIP tickets start at $770 per person.

Head to Aspen

The tony enclave for ski enthusiasts is also a celebrity haven during the holidays, particularly New Year's Eve. Mariah Carey usually parties at the famed members only club Caribou Club, which is the place to be when the ball drops. Entrance is a steep $750 per person, but you can't put a price on partying with celebs.

Attend a Hip-Hop Bash

Nicki Minaj is hosting a party at Pure at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and when she parties, it tends to be with her crew—featuring fellow stars like Lil Wayne, Drake, and Mack Maine. Obviously, this is going to be quite a scene, and this is perfect if you're into surprise performances and late night raging. Tickets start at $110.
