Ever since the news broke last week that famed photographer Mario Testino had been enlisted to snap the official photos of Princess Charlotte‘s christening, we’ve been relentlessly refreshing our royal Instagram and Twitter feeds for a peek at the portraits. Now, the family pictures are finally here—and they’re adorable.
Kensington Palace’s official Instagram account published four photos of the Princess with Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, and the whole royal gang this morning. Needless to say, with Mario Testino behind the lens and Kate Middleton in front of it, these aren’t your average family snaps.
Kate picked a white coat, beige heels, and an embellished fascinator for Sunday’s christening, while Princess Charlotte was dressed in a traditional, Victorian-style baptism gown.
The high-profile choice to appoint Testino is actually pretty unsurprising when you consider the photographer’s history with the royal family—he also took Will and Kate’s official engagement portraits in 2011 and is said to have been one of the late Princess Diana‘s favorites, famously capturing the Princess for Vanity Fair in 1997.
