Actress Lupita Nyong’o has had some truly spectacular fashion moments: There was that red caped Ralph Lauren gown at last year’s Golden Globes that turned her into a fashion star to watch, the pale blue Prada gown at last year’s Oscars that made her a red carpet all-star, the list goes on and on.

While Nyong’o wasn’t nominated this year for an Oscar (she presented the Best Supporting Actor award, which went to “Whiplash” star J.K. Simmons, FYI), she wowed on the carpet nonetheless in custom Calvin Klein Collection, a gown that took several fittings both in New York City and in Los Angeles to complete.

But here’s the kicker: The dress features 6,000 different-sized pearls (a mix of South Sea, iridescent, and natural) sewn onto metallic tulle and silk lamé.

“Lupita has become a close friend of the house over the last year,” Calvin Klein’s Creative Director Francisco Costa said. “From the onset, I wanted the dress to be graphic, yet warm and luxurious.”

Let’s take a moment to bow down at the altar that is Nyong’o’s fashion choices, she just always seems to get it right.
