Even if you didn’t, Sunday night’s BAFTA Awards acknowledged Valentine’s Day in a quintessentially American way: A Kiss Cam, which captured Leonardo DiCaprio planting one on “Downton Abbey” star Dame Maggie Smith.
During the broadcast, BAFTA host Stephen Fry told the audience that “One of the wonderful things [America] has given the world…is the kiss cam…It’s Valentine’s Day, and it’s up to you out there. So which two lovebirds will our Valentine heart embrace?”
The camera landed on four other game celebs—Stanley Tucci and Cuba Gooding Jr., as well as Julianne Moore and Brian Cranston— before zooming in on DiCaprio and Smith, who shared a sweet cheek kiss, and a subsequent hug.
Leo’s the man and all, but Dame Smith is pretty much a living legend, so it’s hard to say who got the better end of that deal. Watch the cute bit above.
