Kendall and Kylie Jenner have been teasing their upcoming fashion line (in true Kardashian fashion) on Instagram for weeks; but until now we’ve been left mostly in the dark about what the collection would hold. Considering the sisters already have existing fashion ranges at Topshop and PacSun, we weren’t exactly sure what the pair were angling at with a third fashion project.
Well, a new WWD report confirms that the new (third) collection will be stocked at luxe retailers including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Shopbop—which leads us to believe that unlike their former ranges, the new “Kendall + Kylie” brand plans to offer something a little more high-end. A Nordstrom landing page confirms the collection—which Kendall formerly explained is a “true reflection of our evolving love for “—will hit the store on February 1.
The news really isn’t that surprising, and if Kanye can make a pair of kicks sell out in hours, then hit a resale value of $20K, Kendall and Kylie shouldn’t have any issue selling luxury fashion either.
On Friday we also learned that the sisters were holding a launch event during New York Fashion Week, after a cryptic invitation for a “Kendall + Kylie Jenner Launch Event” on February 8 at 8 p.m. hit fashion editors’ inboxes. Fashionista confirms that this event will launch the sisters’ new collection, and is not a reference to their existing Topshop and PacSun lines.
So there’s still a lot we don’t know about the collection, and neither sister has confirmed whether they’re pursuing a high-end market with the new offering. One thing we do know however, is that this collection will be seriously hyped-up on Instagram over the coming months.
