Kanye West Changes His New Album Name from ‘Swish’ to ‘Waves’

Sick of hearing about Kanye West’s upcoming album Swish? Same! But don’t worry—it now might be called Waves, so you’ll never have to hear about it again.

After teasing the initial name for what feels like a decade—and anointing it the “best album of all time”—Yeezy revealed on Twitter he’s called an audible and changed the title.

Kanye also tweeted a photo of the album’s track list (again), which was covered in yearbook-style notes from a variety of famous people, although the whole “Kylie was here” and “Kim never left” notes seem a bit contrived.

No word on whether Kanye still plans to debut the album at Madison Square Garden during New York Fashion Week, but we’re betting he’s not giving up the chance to appear in movie theaters worldwide, so if you were planning on buying tickets no matter what the album ends up being called (on sale January 29, with pre-sale starting today) go forth.
