The brighter the better is our mantra when it comes to award show style, so while we appreciated the many elegant nudes and whites we so on the Golden Globes, we’re totally obsessed with all the saturated jewel tones we spied.

From teals and sapphires, to glistening golds and sunshine yellows, our eyes were glued to each and every gem-like gown parading up and down the red carpet.

They look season-appropriate and lend themselves to play with some great makeup and jewelry. Check out our round-up of our favorite jewel tone dresses that have us wishing we could cover ourselves in gems every day. (It could happen, right?)

Freido Pinto -- what a dollbaby in her teal Prada gown! We love the color against her skin tone.

We heart the sleeve details on Kelly Osbourne's Zac Posen gown. (The hair? StyleCaster fans on Facebook give it a mixed review.)

If you haven't seen My Week With Marilyn, go to your nearest theater as fast as your little legs will take you. Michelle Williams is almost as stunning as her performance in her navy Jason Wu gown.

One of our favorite blond bombshells, Reese Witherspoon, stepped out in her ruby red Zac Posen gown.

Hello sunshine! Maria Menounos is a ray of sunlight in Blumarine.

Emma Stone looks just flat out awesome in her Lanvin plum gown.
