J.Crew has inarguably set the standard among mass retailers for its ability to create accessories that are as good as the clothes—those shoes! That jewelry!—but there’s been a sunglasses-shaped hole in their offering–until now.
The brand launched its own line of shades today for both men and women that’s made up of classic styles such as aviators, wayfarers, and cat-eye frames and range in price $98 to $128.
So why now? “Necessity is the mother of invention,” Jenna Lyons, president and executive creative director of J.Crew told us. “More than anything, we needed navy and neon sunglasses. But we just couldn’t find them, so we decided to make our own!” Amen!
