Iron Man Lives Again

Iron Man 2, directed by John Favreau, is going to be a testament to the movies true credibility. We don’t have any doubts now that Scarlett Johansson has been cast to play Natasha Romanoff, Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) not so loyal assistant. As her alter ego, Black Widow, she looks lethal and dangerous in leather. She secured her spot due to a conflict in Emily Blunts scheduling. ( Personally we’re relieved, as we prefer ScarJo any day of the week). Her new presence sparks some serious sexual tension between Stark and former assistant Pepper Pots (Gwyneth Paltrow), get ready for some PG steamy scenes!

The come back King, Mickey Rourke, will be playing new villain in town. We are fully confident in our man, as his career is on a hot streak, and for good reason. About his newest role, Rourke told Entertainment Weekly “I told Favreau, ‘I don’t want to just play him as a one-dimensional prick,'” he says. “He let me have a cockatoo, who I talk to and get drunk with while I’m making my suit.” Ah, that’s definitely our Mickey.

We’re placing out bets now this movie is sure to be a success when it hits the big screen May, 7 2010. Downey however has his own opinion as he told EW, “People are going to be more critical,” says Downey. “That’s their prerogative….In a way, there’s no way to win, except to win. Big.”
