You wouldn’t know it just by walking into the latest Moma exhibit, but an entire, glittering industry of curators, collectors and auctioneers lurks behind a museum’s white-painted walls.
Not literally, of course. These ten tastemakers hail from all over the world, and are largely responsible for what art works we deem “important” (or, at the very least, very, very expensive) today, be it a 10th century Song Dynasty vase or an Andy Warhol pop-art painting.
