It’s here: H&M just released a first look at its collaboration with Balmain—and you’re going to want every single piece.
The collection might be one of the most hyped partnerships in H&M’s 10-year collaboration history, becoming somewhat of a pop culture talking point, thanks to a months-long teaser campaign and support from creative director Olivier Rousteing‘s #BalmainArmy. Rousteing called on friends Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn to announce the collaboration at the Billboard Music Awards back in May, where both of the buzzy, Instagram-famous models wore pieces from the forthcoming collection.
Jenner posted a selfie with both Rousteing and Dunn ahead of the awards show, including tags for both Balmain and H&M and the caption “We have some news.” That particular image was shared across the Internet and received more than 970,000 likes. Later, the hashtag #HMBalmaination emerged on Twitter and Insta.
“I want to talk to my generation: This is my main aim as a designer,” Rousteing said at the time of the announcement. “H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain to get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fueled on a hashtag.”
The new collection reimagines all the French brand’s signatures for the H&M girl, including formfitting tailoring, embroidery, beading, embellishment, and satin.
Needless to say, a lot of this line is pretty much guaranteed to sell out the second it hits stores on November 5. Click through the gallery to bookmark the styles you want to snag when they land at H&M.
