Tommy Hilfiger Enlists Insta-Famous Teens For New ’90s Throwback Collection

17-year-old Lucky Blue Smith and 19-year-old Hailey Baldwin may have been mere toddlers in the ’90s, but that doesn’t mean they can’t pay tribute to the decade in the way they know best: modeling jeans, tees, and undies for Tommy Hilfiger’s new throwback line, Tommy Jeans.

The capsule collection goes on sale later this week, and the pair are already busy drumming up excitement on their respective Instagram feeds (follower counts 2.1 million and 5.2 million, respectively). It follows a similar (pricey) collection inspired by classic styles, which was sold last year on MyTheresa.com and modeled by Suki and Immy Waterhouse.

Considering the casting choices and the ’90s-inspired aesthetic (complete with logo-waistband briefs), we’re sure the brand is hoping for the same success as Calvin Klein’s ubiquitous #mycalvins campaign—and with Coachella right around the corner, odds are good we’ll be seeing a lot of it around.

“Our Tommy Jeans collection celebrates some of my favorite styles from our early years, updated for a new generation of Tommy fans,” said the designer in a statement.

They may not be able to rock it like Aaliyah, but it’s a solid effort nonetheless.
