Gwyneth Paltrow’s Red Carpet Look: Love It Or Hate It?

Liz Doupnik

If there’s one red carpet veteran who we can count on to rock our socks, it’s Gwyneth Paltrow. She’s always effortlessly elegant and kills it in her trademark minimalistic style. (I mean, we’ve seen her perfectly simple in baby pinks and a dramatic black so many times we can’t even count.)

But at this Academy Awards, she may have hit the wall. With her Tom Ford look, it appeared as though she was wearing a one-shoulder Snow White gown — cape and all, no less. (OK, it is February and thus chilly, but really?)

So what does this mean? Was she worried about being cold? Or was it simply a snafu to have concealed such a sick look from Tom Ford? It’s a total toss up. We’ve already been debating if it’s a little too similar to Celine Dion‘s controversial avant-garde gown she wore to the 1999 Oscars (which made her appear to be wearing her gown backwards, topped off with a huge fedora, natch).

So what do you think? Did Gwyneth kill as always or did she fall flat? Tell us what you think in the poll below!
