You might remember Gal Gadot from the “Fast and the Furious” movies, but it’s more likely that you’ve heard about the Israeli beauty in the buzz surrounding the superhero movie of the moment, “Superman v. Batman: Dawn of Justice.” As the newly appointed Wonder Woman for the DC franchise, Gadot will be bringing Diana Prince to the silver screen for three more movies (including one focused just on Wonder Woman) in the very near future, and there’s no doubt that her star is on the rise.
The actress’s badass turn as Wonder Woman parallels Gadot’s own journey to becoming actress—before she started working in Hollywood, she served in the Israel Defense Forces and was also named Miss Israel in 2004. Her time in the IDF helped land her roles in the “Fast and the Furious” films and eventually her role as one of the world’s most beloved superheroes.
But Gadot’s scene-stealing time on “Superman v. Batman” and fierce former professions aren’t the only things that piqued our interest about the talented 30-year-old actress—her red-carpet game is pretty hard to beat, too, thanks to an effortless elegance that often pays homage to Old Hollywood—she favors bias-cut gowns and simple silhouettes and definitely knows how to work a red lip. However, of late, she’s also been experimenting with shorter hemlines and sexier cuts—case in point, her edgy midriff-baring looks at last year’s Comic Con—that still maintain the strong femininity that she exhibits both on the carpet and as an actress.
The actress is also the new face of Gucci’s Bamboo perfume, which has us hoping that we’ll be seeing more of her in Alessandro Michele’s genius designs on red carpets, too.
