Get excited: Lena Dunham is getting her own book imprint with Random House, meaning the writer, actress, director, and feminist will have a chance to choose a number of books to release under her own subgroup of the publishing giant. Yes, this is basically like a Lena Dunham book club.

Random House announced the news this morning, explaining that Dunham and her Lenny newsletter cofounder, Jenni Konner, would be responsible for publishing new “voice-driven” titles: “The imprint will be a home for the kinds of exciting, emerging voices—in fiction and non-fiction—that Lena [Dunham] and Jenni Konner are already attracting and publishing so successfully in their newsletter and on their site,” said Random House Vice President Andy Ward. “Working with Lena, Jenni and the editors of Lenny, we plan to publish a select numbers of titles each year to build a varied, compelling, and voice-driven list.”

Dunham told Buzzfeed that books are a big part of her life, which is one reason why she’s taking on the project: “While we love our home on the internet, Jenni and I are both voracious readers (of books and book reviews) who are constantly trading titles and allowing them to stir us creatively. Our friendship often doubles as a book club.” Expect to see witty, envelope-pushing stories from the imprint, because she also said that she plans “to push the ball forward on the issues that matter to our audience with wit and style,” adding that she hopes “to see them sticking out of purses and riding public transportation everywhere.”
