Perfection: Debi Mazar is the New Face of Marc Jacobs

Fact: Marc Jacobs is killing it with his stellar selection of celebrity models for Fall 2015. First, we learned Cher would appear in the label’s ads, then Willow Smith, followed by Anthony Kiedis (and his cool-ass son), now we’ve learned the designer has tapped actress Debi Mazar.

You might know Mazar for the fast-talking tough-girl roles she’s played—particularly in “Entourage”—but she was a fixture (and self-proclaimed wild child) of the 1980s New York club scene.

“I hung out in the gay scene ’cause the music was better,” she told People in 1992, which pointed out that Mazar worked as a waitress, a dental assistant and a door guard at Manhattan’s Mudd Club before becoming a makeup artist and meeting BFF Madonna (she appeared in five of the superstar’s videos.) When Madge asked her to do her makeup for the 1988 Broadway play “Speed-the-Plow,” Mazar caught the acting bug herself. “I fell in love with it,” she said.

Since then, the 50-year-old has had supporting but memorable roles in some major movies (“Goodfellas,” “Malcolm X,” Woody Allen‘s “Bullets Over Broadway” to name a few), and also has a show on the Cooking Channel with her (ahem, hot) husband Gabriele Corcos, as well as their two daughters.

Her whole vibe, coupled with her backstory, is a killer fit for the MJ label—we’re totally digging it!
