By now you probably know that British model and all-around It-girl Cara Delevingne stars in the buzzy new film “Paper Towns,” which hit theaters last week. What you may not know however, is that Delevingne is absolutely killing it on the red carpet while promoting her new flick.
The movie, adapted from John Green’s YA novel (the author behind a little book called The Fault In Our Stars) also stars Nat Wolff who plays Quentin “Q” Jacobsen, who falls for the girl next door, Margo Roth Spiegelman, played by Delevingne–but one day she disappears. Cue Q trying to find her, and the makings for the next big teen movie sensation.
Despite having an admittedly short role in the film–Delevingne’s character does disappear after all–there’s still a lot of discussion in the fashion and entertainment community as to whether casting Cara was a smart decision. Even Green admitted he was unsure at first: “When I heard she was auditioning, it was like, ‘No.’ Of course I thought that was crazy,” the author told USA Today. “But then I saw the audition. She understood Margo in ways that no one I have ever met understands Margo.”
You’ll have to see the movie to make up your own mind about her acting chops, but until then keep clicking to check out her incredible style—she’s already stepped out in Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen—on the “Paper Towns” press tour across the U.S., Australia, Europe, and beyond.
