Standing out among the vast sea of international street style stars isn’t easy, but Milan-based beauty Candela Novembre consistently steals focus thanks to her willowy frame, chic chin-length bob, and—obviously—killer wardrobe.

While she might not be a household name on the level of say, Alexa Chung or Anna Dello Russo, this 34-year-old is the real deal, in terms of fashion: Born in Argentina, Candela Pelizza Tricarico came to Milan when she was 17 years old with her twin sister Vanesa, where they both landed an Italian Vogue shoot with legendary photographer Bruce Weber. While traveling, Candela met her now-husband, architect Fabio Novembre, and settled in Milan full time.

Now, the mother-of-two sits front row at Fashion Week around the globe—often snapped with bestie Chiara Ferragni—and can usually be seen in head-to-toe Fendi, Chanel, Celine, Marni, and other serious labels, although she’s also got a serious love of vintage.

“My vintage comes from all around the world, and I remember exactly where I bought each piece,” she told Tales of Endearment in 2012. “Every time I’m in a new country, I look for the flea market or little thrift shops. I don’t buy postcards; I buy something that I will wear someday and that will remind me of that trip. So in a way vintage shopping is like keeping a travel journal. Or like going inside your grandma’s wardrobe, where you can find treasures that make you happy, things that are unique and carry with them their own secret story.”

With her near-perfect sense of personal style that manages to be playful but also communicates that this is a girl who gets fashion, we find her to be a captivating presence on the street style scene, and often look to her when we’re in need of some serious fashion inspiration.

Here, a selection Candela’s absolute best looks—and what we can learn from them.

Part of Candela's appeal? Not being afraid to have fun with fashion, evidenced here by bright colors, statement accessories, and fur accents.

Most girls would have worn neutral accessories with a super-loud print, but not Candela. Blue shoes, a green bag and red shades make the look.

We bet you want a polka-dot dress now, right? Us too.

Not only is she mixing fall colors like a pro, but we're digging her choice to toss a scarf around her shoulders in lieu of a coat.

When everyone's traipsing around in giant fur coats, Candela opts for an oversized statement vest with a midi dress.

We're copying this one for our next cocktail party: A sheer lace skirt with tap shorts underneath, and a slouchy knit to temper the sexiness.

Proof that heels aren't necessary to look insanely polished, and neither are fitted pieces.
