Bucket bags aren’t new; they’ve been around for decades. If you were old enough to carry a purse in the ’90s, you probably rocked a Coach bucket at some point. But over the last year or so, they’ve been having a particularly strong moment.
This resurgence is largely thanks to young label Mansur Gavriel, which managed to create such a frenzy among fashion followers that waiting lists emerged for their smooth leather bucket styles. And while some say the ubiquitous bag shape has been usurped by the equally cool saddle bag, I’m still a die-hard fan.
That said, I’m not eager to shell out $600 on a style that’s—in a word—everywhere, which is why I’m loving Cooperative’s structured style—for $44.
The bag comes in a variety of colors and—though it’s faux leather—looks surprisingly elevated with anything from skinny jeans and mules to mini dresses this fall.
