With summer comes a lot of great things. Beach days, summer Fridays at the office, and our personal favorite, the chance to drink outside at a rooftop bar. We aren’t exactly sure why, but drinks always seem to better on a roof.
We’ve assembled our favorites from around the world that you are going to want to hit this summer. From the coolest rooftop bar in Saint-Tropez to where the fashion crowd is hanging out in Shoreditch in London, we’ve covered all the bases.

Radio Rooftop Bar in London
Ten floor up at the ME London hotel, this is the rooftop spot to hang out in London this summer. Expect comfy couches, glam cocktails, and a global tapas menu. Oh, and the best views of Oxo Tower and the Palace of Westminster that money can buy.

Boundary Restaurant Rooms and Rooftop in London
The trendy set will be heading to Boundary in Shoreditch this summer to take in the 360-degree views, open fireplaces, and the rooftop garden designed by Nicola Lesbirel. You may never want to leave, and we don't blame you.
2-4 Boundary Street, London, United Kingdom, theboundary.co.uk.
Hotel Fairmont in Monte Carlo
The famed Hotel Fairmont in Monte Carlo recently got a major overhaul, restoring it to its former glory days. There is no better place in Monte Carlo to indulge in an afternoon cocktail, sit by the pool, and watch the mega-yachts go by.

STK Rooftop in New York City
Where else in the world can you indulge in one of the best steaks around while also taking in one of the best views around? It is no wonder that STK Rooftop has become a massive hit in the New York City rooftop scene. We recommend ordering a sirloin, the John Daly cocktail (a boozy take on the classic Arnold Palmer) and sitting back and enjoying the night air. It really doesn't get any better.

Grease in Bangkok
Grease in Bangkok has quickly become the nightclub du jour, but one of its best features is a rooftop garden that not many of its visitors even know about. Take a break from the dance floor one evening to discover its charms. 1970s inspired decor and tea lights have never looked so chic.
46/12 Sukhumvit 49 Road, Bangkok, Thailand.
Hotel de Paris in Saint-Tropez
There isn't really a rooftop bar scene in Saint-Tropez, which makes the rooftop space in the newly opened Hotel de Paris all the more special. The surrounding views of the ocean and villas truly can't be beat.
151 Route des Salins, Saint-Tropez, France, hoteldeparis-sainttropez.com.
La Terrazza in Hong Kong
Mario Batali has hit Hong Kong in a big way, bringing Lupa with him. Personally, we are a big fan of La Terrazza, the casual rooftop adjoining it, where you can enjoy pizza and fritti. No one will blame you for order that third or fourth drink.

Upper Elm in Brooklyn
The rooftop scene in Brooklyn is beginning to rival that of Manhattan. Our favorite? New comer Upper Elm in the King & Grove hotel. The spot features a pay-to-play salt-water pool ($35 on weekdays, $45 on weekends) and cocktails from mixologist Johnny Swet.
160 North 12th Street, Williamsburg, New York, kingandgrove.com.
Yin Bar in Beijing
This rooftop bar has the best views of the Forbidden City in all of Beijing along with ultra-cool modernist decor. To keep things traditional, house cocktails are made with the notoriously potent Chinese rice liquor baijiu.
33 Qihelou Street, Emperor Hotel, Beijing, China.
Suite 700 in Santa Monica
With views of the Santa Monica pier, and low-key nautical decor, Suite 700 is the Los Angeles beachside hangout you've been waiting for. Watch the sunset while eating lobster-brie sliders (you can thank us for the recommendation later).
