Taylor Swift is having a seriously amazing year. Let’s count the ways: she’s released the already classic pop album 1989. She’s become friends with the coolest women in the world. She’s had a feminist awakening. AND she’s practically sold out a world tour immediately. Pretty amazing, right?

Or we could just look at her last three days: She was named Maxim’s Hottest Woman, won eight Billboard Music Awards and debuted her totally brilliant, star-studded video for Bad Blood. Is there anything this woman can’t do?

We’ve been fans of T.Swift ever since she released her debut album at 16, and we’ve only grown to love her more. Between her amazing songs and videos, comic timing and commitment to philanthropy, we admire her dedication to her music, her fans and her love of blue eyeshadow.

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves, because we’re just so excited to name Taylor Swift as our Woman Crush Wednesday. Let’s look back at her best and most iconic beauty looks!

We've been fans of T.Swift ever since she released her debut album at 16, and we've only grown to love her more. Between her amazing songs and videos, comic timing and commitment to philanthropy, we admire her dedication to her music, her fans and her love of blue eyeshadow.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves, because we're just so excited to name Taylor Swift as our Woman Crush Wednesday. Let's look back at her best and most iconic beauty looks!

At the CMT Music Awards, 2006.

Following the release of Taylor Swift, our girl T was hailed as a country music prodigy. Taylor was just sixteen here and already displaying a penchant for big hair (and blue eyeshadow) that would continue to influence her beauty game for years to come.

Taylor's long, voluminous, blonde curls became as much a part of her early career as her music. Please note that the blue eyeshadow makes another early appearance.

She took home her first CMT award this year (Breakthrough Video of the Year for Tim McGraw). The curls are tighter and more defined (but the bangs are straighter, though who among us didn't fall into THAT trap in the mid-2000s?) and the eye makeup is major. Taylor was really beginning to nail down her image.

Taylor was nominated for her first Grammy in 2008, and celebrated with a lot of blue eyeshadow. It would be entirely possibly to throw shade at her for this beauty choice; instead, let's say that in a world of perfectly made-up performers, it's refreshing to see someone in the infancy of their career just say "You know what, I'm gonna wear whatever I like. BRIGHT BLUE EYESHADOW, LET'S GO."

Her hair is a little lighter, the blue eyeshadow is blended better, the curls are pulled elegantly over to the side and the sparkly headband is deployed with care. This look is very cute, but also very age and event-appropriate.

At the Met Gala, 2008.

Tay-Tay's first Met Gala. We love that she stayed true to her signature blonde curls while also branching out a little with her eye makeup; the bronze smoky eyes and thick mascara are a fantastic choice that really puts the focus on her gorgeous eyes.

This was a serious event that called for serious hair, and if there's one thing that Taylor's beauty always is, it's appropriate. This sleek low updo and muted coral lip is simple and gorgeous.

Step away from the blue eyeshadow, T.Swift. Your friends and family are worried about you.

By 2009, Taylor had gotten more comfortable with updos that worked with her curls, was experimenting with bold lip colors and had learned how to pose on the red carpet. She was truly stepping up her beauty game, and not a moment too soon: the massive crossover success of Fearless (still the best Taylor Swift album, in our opinion) meant that she was about to become a superstar.

Taylor's relaxed updo with wavy tendrils is classic her; the sharp cat-eye and red lips were quickly becoming part of her signature look. Already a legit crossover pop/country star, Taylor was about to become even more famous...

...because then this happened. HI KANYE.

Oh hey, everyone, no big deal, Taylor's just here to slay you all with her incredibly shiny hair. This was the first time she ever wore her hair straight and down on the red carpet, and we are INTO it.

Oh, what a difference a fringe makes! Taylor looks like a very beautiful Barbie doll with these severe highlights and long, thick bangs.

If you've been wondering whether or not Taylor looks absolutely magnificent with soft, Veronica Lake-inspired waves and pink-red lipstick, the answer is yes.

Brb, just dying over this really adorable hairstyle.

The bangs made a spectacular return in 2012 to accompany Tay-Tay's new, ashier blonde hair. Paired with striking smoky eyes and very nude lips, this whole look is a very modern update of the classic 60s sex kitten.

Up until now, Swifty's beauty style has always been very pretty, but didn't really ever get into "cool" territory. This, however, is PURE cool. The bright red lips, icy blonde staright hair and dramatic cat eye paired with that sleek tux? Amazing.

At the Met Gala, 2013.

The exhibition (and event theme) was PUNK: From Chaos to Couture, and Taylor really brought her A-game to the red carpet. The dark yet elegant eye makeup and disheveled hair (with streaks of pink!) are—as one would expect from T.Swift—both HER and totally appropriate for the occasion.

If you've been asking yourself "I wonder if Taylor still really, really loves blue eyeshadow," here is your answer. Bless you, Taylor.

This 1920s inspired curled and pinned up hairstyle is FLAWLESS. Dream hair status for sure.

The blue eyeshadow returns, this time paired with lots of cheek highlighter, soft pink lips and the MOTHER of all Brigitte Bardot hairstyles.

And voila, a bob is born. This haircut marked Tay-Tay's transition into more mature music and a more grown up image, and we LOVE it. She never goes out of style.

Charles James, honoured with this exhibit, was known for his very dramatic yet ladylike silhouettes, so T.Swift's elegant curled hair and cat eye liner are exactly right. She's got that red lip classic thing that we like.

The straight, deep-parted hair is gorgeous. The dusty rose lips and flawless. And really, we have to salute Taylor for her committment to blue eyeshadow...it's nothing short of inspirational.

If you're going to go a little edgy, you may as well do it at the Style Awards. We think Taylor should do slicked back hair and major cat eyes more often, it looks so incredible.

At the iHeartRadio Awards, 2015.

The bangs are choppier, the bob has been layered into a wavy shag, and the color is more caramel than ice. If you'll excuse us, we're calling our stylists like right this second...we NEED this cut.

At the Billboard Music Awards, 2015.

Not only did she win eight Billboard awards for her AMAZING album 1989 and debut her star-studded video for Bad Blood, Taylor also had a totally flawless, 80s-inspired beauty look: all tousled hair, dark liner and nude lips with golden skin. She's incredible, and we could not love her more. We don't know if it gets better than this; Tay takes our hands and leads us head first, FEARLESS.
