Usually when it comes to red carpet events, we have a hard time choosing who served the best beauty game. Not so at this week’s CFDA Fashion Awards, where one woman’s makeup was light years ahead of the rest: our eternal inspiration, Chrissy Teigen.

Chrissy’s career has been as varied and entertaining as the woman herself: model, TV host, memeTwitter phenom, self-love crusader, food blogger, actress. She’s had some of the most romantic songs in human history written about her (though we assume that comes with the territory when you’re married to John Legend). She’s not shy about showing off the ‘real’ side of her glamourous life. And oh yes, she’s also working to stop sex trafficking and fighting hunger. The woman is gorgeous, hilarious and bold as all get-out; it’s no wonder the world loves her as much as they do.

And so of course we had to make her our official Woman Crush Wednesday. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane and revisit all of Chrissy’s best beauty looks!

Let's take a stroll down memory lane and revisit all of Chrissy's best beauty looks!

At John Legend's birthday party, 2007.

Yep, we've got photographic proof: our favorite celeb couple were adorable, even when they were dating. Chrissy was a model on Deal or No Deal at the time; we love her long, lightly wavy chestnut hair, minimal makeup and huge smile.

Okay, we admit it: a handsome man is a damn good beauty accessory. But beyond that, we see Chrissy's signature look begin to appear—bold cheek color, glossy nude lips, perfectly beach-waved hair, flawless skin.

At the Critics Choice Awards, 2011.

By 2011, Chrissy was a fully fledged star: a social media phenom, she was also named the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue's Rookie of the Year, had booked editorials for Vogue and designed a bikini collection. Her look is still super-sexy, but more polished to reflect her meteoric career: the hair is curlier, shinier and more voluminous, the eyeliner is darker yet cleaner, the blush is tempered with some light contouring. The nude lip gloss, naturally, remains the same.

And here we see the first hints of blonde begin to appear in Chrissy's gorgeous hair. Note the placement close to her face and not too close to her scalp; this is a perfect way to add warmth and color to your hair with highlights.

Newly engaged to John Legend, Chrissy brought her happiest self to the Sportsman of the Year ceremony. You can see that she's branching out with some highlighter on her cheeks for added shine; her hair is also slowly getting lighter (a sensible way to do it when you're starting from a dark base!).

At the Think Like A Man premiere, 2012.

First: these brows are amazing. Second: this woman works a cat eye and red lips like nobody's business. Finally: her blonde highlights are perfect. Not only do they look gorgeous when her hair is worn down, but they also work with her hair pulled back (an essential attribute, as we all know). Flawless.

ALERT, ALERT, AMAZING BANGS ALERT. Even though this long, u-shaped fringe is a clip-in, it's a major beauty moment; we love how this balances out Chrissy's sleek, chic ponytail.

If you have hooded eyes, you may think that fake lashes are forever out of your reach. Not so; just make sure, as Chrissy has, that you concentrate them at the outer corners of your eyes, rather than applying them all the way across in a single uniform strip. Pairing major eyelashes with loose, Bardot-inspired hair and stained pink lips are even better.

If anyone has ever told you that pulled-back hair isn't sexy, kindly refer them to this photo from now until the end of time. Chrissy's intensely sleek bun, lightly smoky eyes and radiant skin is beyond glamorous.

At the E! Fashion Police Fashion Week party, 2013.

This is, as Tim Gunn would say, A Lot Of Look, but Chrissy is pulling it off in the most amazing way. Dark eyeshadow, plum lips, statement blush (of course) and lots of sideswept wavy hair...this is a beauty risk that paid off big time.

Snip snip snip! Chrissy debuted this long bob at the end of 2013, and a million phone calls were placed to stylists immediately. We love this cut; it makes her multi-faceted color look incredibly fresh.

PRINCESS PEACH, IS THAT YOU? If you tell us that you recognized Teigen right away in this comedy wig and blue contact lenses, we will call you a liar.

Warm red lips to go with a warm saffron yellow gown: incredible.

At the Grammys, 2014.

The eyes are smoky and the lips are nude; it's textbook Teigen. But the addition of the single side-braid really elevates this red carpet look into something unique, with just the right amount of edge for the Grammys.

At Donna Karen's 30th anniversary show, 2014.

Minus any under-eye liner and the subtle contouring that had become part of her standard makeup look, Chrissy looks supremely elegant and streamlined. We especially love the marsala-colored lipstick lightly dabbed on her lips for a stained look; always teaching us new things, that Teigen.

Swept-back hair. Bold brows. Pink lips. With her major dress, this look is the dictionary definition of KILLING IT.

The fake bangs are back, and we love them more than ever! This time cut straight across, they're thick and luxurious; the perfect way to change up your hair without making a massive commitment.

Chrissy Teigen is the patron saint of beach waves. How can we get our hair to look like this every single day?

Shades of brown get a bad rap when it comes to makeup, and we think that's a shame; so here's Chrissy rocking ALL of them and looking gorgeous. Now at her most blonde, Teigen paired smoky, seductive eyes in shades of black and brown with deep nude blush and neutral lips for a red carpet look that was anything but boring.

Dark lips. Old Hollywood waves. Skin so radiant that it's visible from space. Girl is SLAYING EVERYONE.

Announcing the Billboard Music Awards finalists, 2015.

This bob was, is and forever will be the lob of our dreams. The layers and creative use of color make it literally perfect; it's easy for whatever weather comes, it's perfect for subtle bronde highlights and the styling options are endless. LOVE.

At the CFDA Fashion Awards, 2015.

If you're going to go big with your makeup, it might as well be at the CFDA Fashion Awards. The POWERFULLY sharp cat eye liner extending up past the outer edge of her brows, thick fake lashes and signature rosy cheeks make this the strongest beauty look of the night. Well played, Chrissy! We love you!
