Going back to school is way more fun when you have the help of professional makeup artists!

"One thing you can do is to exaggerate a classic cat eye, creating a winged shadow like Covergirl Mim of NERVO. Take any color liner, and start by lining the lash line, then extend it up toward the end of the brow like you would a cat eye. Continue from that point back across the crease towards the inner corner of the eye, then fill it in with the pencil. Perfect the edges with a pointed cotton swab if you need it. I love Covergirl Ink It! ($5.99) in Black Ink for every day, or switch it up with Aquamarine Ink for a more playful look, or Charcoal Ink for a softer one."

- Amy Nadine, COVERGIRL Celebrity Makeup Artist

“Adding a touch of color to your makeup wardrobe is a fresh, modern way to upgrade your look for fall. NP Set Lipstick Brights ($12 each) in Florence (a true pink), Gold Coast (deep fuchsia), Marseilles (sheer berry) or Noosa (bright orange) will add vibrant color to any look. Be bold, be beautiful, and smile like you mean it!”

 - Napoleon Perdis, Creator and Owner of NP Set at Target

" Keep your makeup simple and fun. Winged liner is a trend that everyone can embrace. It’s fun, quick and easy once you get the hang of it. I like mixing it up by using liquid eyeliners in colors like the NARS Eyeliner Stylo in Atlantic ($27), a cobalt blue.

If you love the idea of a winged eyeliner but find yourself a little shaky, try using a pencil eyeliner first to trace the line, then draw your liquid liner on top for a deep precision line that lasts all day.

Pair your perfectly lined eye with NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara ($25), a pop of Orgasm blush ($29) and a nude gloss like Chelsea Girls Lip Lacquer ($25), and you have the perfect back-to-school look!"

- Jake Broullard, NARS Cosmetics Lead Makeup Stylist

"Create a fun, ombre lip using two of the hottest lipstick shades for fall: burgundy and nude. Apply MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Intense #48 ($20) to create shape and fill in the outer parts of the lip. Then, take a nude hue and apply it just to the center of your lips. Press your lips together to get the perfect blend."

- Talia Cich, MAKE UP FOR EVER Head Makeup Artist in Los Angeles

"This fall, it’s going to be all about the cat eye. Using a liquid eyeliner, extend the liner along the lash line and a bit further towards your temple to get the winged effect. Then, thicken it up by adding more layers of liner to the shape. The cat eye is easy to create and will instantly kick up any look! Try the Laura Geller Beauty Eye Calligraphy Liquid Eyeliner Kit ($35)."

- Laura Geller, Founder of Laura Geller Beauty

"When your brows are in really good shape and they're shaped well, it's such a worthwhile thing. Find the perfect arch for your face shape, and then maintain the shape with a great product that will fill them in and keep them groomed. If you've not used it before, try Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow ($22), which is a brow gel with fibers in it that instantly fills in your brows while it gives them great color and shape. Great for when you're short on time."

 - Tina Turnbow, Celebrity Makeup Artist

"Emphasize your eyes by adding a splash of color with your liner. I love subtle hues like purple or hazel, which are more fun than your basic black and will really make eyes pop! Try Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio in Hazel Eyes ($11.95)."

- Joanna Schlip, Celebrity Makeup Artist for Physicians Formula

"I love to do a slight change for fall with eyeliners. Instead of your normal black or brown safety, spice it up and make a fun statement. I love to use blue, gold, white, purple, green, or gold. I love Mark's No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner ($9). They have fun colors that are off the beaten path, and the liner will stay on from the first class to the last!"

- Jamie Greenberg, Mark Celebrity Makeup Artist

“Cat eyes are huge for fall and the elongated, feline shape is a classic-and-simple look to achieve with the Pixi Crayon Combo in Softly Smoky ($18). Gently blend the lighter shade across the lid and then trace the deeper shade close to the lashline and into the contour of your eye, winging upward at the outer corner. Blend them together for a sultry look.”

 - Petra Strand, Founder of Pixi at Target

"Continue with your fun summer bright lip, but switch to a tinted lip balm that can be quickly touched up without a mirror and keeps lips totally moisturized all day. Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro ($3.99) is the perfect product to use to keep that smile going!"

- Melissa Silver, Makeup Artist for Maybelline New York

“It’s all about cat-eyes this fall! Refresh your makeup look this season by trying the Love Me Paint Pen Eye Liner from Smashbox ($24). Lining your eyes with this gorgeous, true black, it’s easy to create that perfect '60s cat eye that is as dramatic or as subtle as you’d like, and it will last all day!”

- Romy Soleimani, Beauty Director-at-Large,

"Back-to-school is an exciting time. Play up what’s left of your summer glow with subtle shimmer and balmy textures for lips using a fall color palette.

Apply a soft gold shimmer to define the eyes, like Gilt Gourmet Fluidline from the M·A·C Indulge Collection ($16). Line both top and bottom lash lines using M·A·C’s 209 Eye Liner Brush ($20). Then, finish with In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara ($21).

Pairing a berry-toned lip with gold shimmering eyes can also add intensity without looking overdone. Press Sweet Succulence Lipstick from M·A·C Indulge ($15) into your lips using your finger to create a sumptuous stain.

 The result: beauty and brains!"

- Keri Blair, M·A·C Cosmetics Senior Artist

"Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm ($34) is an A+ pick to get gorgeous during rush, homecoming and endless exams. Keep it in your locker and use it as a time saver in between classes as a primer, moisturizer, SPF 20 protector and illuminating tinted coverage for better-than-real looking skin!"

- Jerrod Blandino, Too Faced Creative Director and Co-Founder
