We must admit – we aren’t exactly an avid participant of either side of the heated battle of the boy bands (One Direction vs. 5SOS in case you didn’t know) that is currently taking place at tonight’s Teen Choice Awards. But, the beauty battle that is occurring on the blue carpet has truly captured our attention instead.

Sleek hair seems to be the theme of the night tonight, with a mix of ponytails, braids and even sleek and straight bobs catching our attention as well. Lucy Hale’s vivid blue liner and sleek, middle-parted ponytail was a particular favorite, along with Zendaya’s extra-tight (and high!) braid that went on for days.

Click through the slideshow to see our favorites from the night, and let us know who you thought had the best beauty looks as well.

Willow Shields makes us want to pull out our flatirons all over again. Her sleek, asymmetrical bob (and that severe side-part) give her entire look a chic, effortless ease. Plus, can we talk about those brows?

Bella Thorne shows off her lighter locks with loose curls, a neutral bronze eye and a nude lip.

Zendaya is always one to watch on the carpet, and her super-sleek and miles-long braid was one that we'll be talking about for years. She played down the rest of her look with a nude lip and soft, smokey eye with just a touch of a cat-eye wing.

Lucy Hale's vibrant blue liner (created with Mark Girl's On the Edge Liquid Liner in Blue Chrome) was the perfect accent to her middle-parted, sleek pony.

Maia Mitchell also opted for a sleek hairstyle, but we're loving her side-parted, low pony to go with her nude lip and lush lashes.

Rita Ora went for a hint of color in her hair on the blue carpet, with just a touch of pastel pink. The rest of her makeup was kept pretty neutral with just touches of pink of her cheeks and eyes.

Emma Roberts (who, let's face it, always looks stunning) went for just a soft wave in her long, blonde hair and an elongated cat-eye.

Lea Michele's tight twists in her middle-part is a hairstyle we want to steal for every hot, summer day. Paired with her smokey eye and nude lip, Michele knows how to amp it up for a carpet.

Nina Dobrev's casual "hair flip" was the perfect fit for this "fun" blue carpet. Plus, her cat-eye angle accuracy is what we really all aspire to on a daily basis.

Victoria Justice also had quite the cat-eye, but we love how she toned it down with a bronze shadow, and balanced it out even more so with a nude lip.
