If red lipstick always makes your cosmetics bag:
The advantages of wearing red lipstick are never-ending, and if it makes your daily uniform, we get it. It states authority, is super-punchy, and requires little to no other makeup to finish off a look. Plus, we can’t say we hate all those studies about it being a big attractor to men. But if you’re feeling a little bland about the hue, chances are you need to give it a temporary time-out.

The dare? Go orange.
Instead of going crimson, try an orange-red hue with a shinier finish like Flower Beauty’s Cactus Flower or MAC Cremesheen Pearl Lipstick in Pretty Boy. The color, which we’ve recently seen on celebs like Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Chrissy Teigen, still makes the same entrance as red, but has more of a summery pop. Gloss makes it less severe and it comes in a range of hues, so you can pick how bold you want to make it. Give it a shot with minimal neutral shadow and a mani to match.
