You’ve likely seen her work in the form of patterned brushes and ornate makeup trains and totes on the shelves of Target, but legendary makeup artist, Sonia Kashuk, is expanding her beauty empire to include skin care this fall.
For her upcoming collection, Kashuk is adding three new skin care products to her already bountiful spread of products. The lineup will include a Resurface Gentle Exfoliating Wash ($15), a microbead-free wash that uses hard-shelled algae to polish away dead skin cells, a Renew Micro Exfoliating Toner ($15), a gentle toning exfoliator with willow bark extract, aloe vera and Vitamin C to cleanse and protect skin, and finally a Detox Purifying Black Mask ($16), a clay-based mask full of alpha-hydroxy acids to fight anti-aging as well as aloe vera, calendula flower and chamomile extracts to soothe and moisturize.
The trio highlights key products, essential to any skin care routine. And for Kashuk, the addition only seemed natural. “Skin care is such an integral part of a beauty regimen because great makeup starts with great skin,” she explains.
Although Kashuk’s skin care basics are available this Sunday at both Target and Target.com, come November, another product joins the club. “We always plan on new products since that’s the nature of what we do,” says Kashuk. “We are always working on something new!” So piggybacking right off the cleansing oil trend, Kashuk will serve up her Dissolve Gel to Oil Makeup Removing Cleanser ($15). However, unlike other oil cleansers we know, this one transforms from gel to oil upon application and is designed to melt away makeup, debris and other impurities. Formulated with vegetable glycerin, coconut oil, and camellia oil the cleanser naturally cleans and purifies skin. Finally, abyssinica seed oil nourishes and helps lock in moisture. To say we can’t wait to get our hands on this multi-tasker is an understatement.
At under $16, Kashuk’s new launches retain the inexpensive price tag we love, but abide by some serious skin care standards. With luxe textures, plentiful ingredients and products that get the job done, Kashuk’s new endeavor might make going barefaced just as fun as applying makeup.
And did we mention the packaging? The new line is housed in sleek, black-and-gold packaging any minimalist would adore. If you ask us, this new trio deserves a spot on the top shelf indeed.
