Rihanna‘s latest self-named scent, RiRi by Rihanna, takes the girly girl factor through the roof – a nice change from the typical laid-back style of the Barbadian songstress. Wearing nothing except for bubblegum-hued gloves, eyeshadow, and an impressive amount of pearls, a very glam Rihanna appears in the ad along with the curvy pink perfume bottle. It doesn’t look like bad gal RiRi whatsoever.
Launching in September at Macy’s, the scent is described as a floral fragrance that includes notes like passion fruit extract and rum, “bridge” notes including Japanese honeysuckle, orange blossom, jasmine, and pink freesia, as well as a “final chorus” of notes like vanilla, musk, and sandalwood.
It’s a completely different vibe than Rebelle, a scent that was packaged in a stiletto heel-like shape, or her most recent fragrance Rogue, which was decorated with inverted studs. We haven’t gotten a whiff of it yet, but it sounds like it would appeal to anyone who favors flowery and spicy scents.
Even if you aren’t into pink, pearls, and frills, you can still appreciate the fact that Rihanna is clearly a successful beauty entrepreneur. Her MAC lipstick collab ‘Ruby Woo’ is of cult status, after all.
