Use lemon or apple cider vinegar as a shampoo. They have the same acidic level as your hair so they help to rid your strands of product buildup. Just mix the juice of one lemon or two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into a cup of water. Apply all over hair in the shower and comb through. Rinse hair and then condition as usual.

If you haven't been living under a rock, you've heard about the health benefits of avocados. We like it best in our hair because it stimulates growth and hydrates dry ends. Just mix one mashed avocado, the yolk of an egg and a tablespoon of olive oil, then slather it over your scalp and the rest of the hair. Place a plastic shower cap over your head and use a blow dryer to heat up your hair for a few minutes. Let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse and then shampoo and conditioner hair.
