Whether you’re into #ManiMonday or not, you’ve likely had a manicure and nail color you love and want to show off. But posting an awkward Instagram of your hand holding a boring nail polish bottle is less than desirable. (Sausage fingers, anyone?) Thankfully there are a number of pretty nail polish bottles out there that are completely worthy of Instagram.
Not only are we sharing our favorite nail polish bottles to take snaps of, but we asked top manicurist and founder of JINsoon Spas and JINsoon Nail Lacquer, Jin Soon Choi (who has a pretty killer Instagram herself), to give us her best tips to Gramming a mani. Her advice? Keep your fingers extended straight. “With the fingers extended straight, it makes your hands look long, skinny, and elegant,” she adds. And if you want a bottle shot (which if your bottle is as chic as these, why wouldn’t you?), Soon Choi says to hold the bottle in such a way that the logo is visible and the bottle is in close proximity to the painted nail. Plus your mani is in full display this way!
To help you craft your perfect mani (and Gram), here are six of our favorite nail polishes that are serious vanity candy.
Smith & Cult in Ghost Edit ($18, smithandcult.com)
We don’t know what we like more, the five-free formula and killer shades of Smith & Cult’s line or the chic cylindrical shape of the bottle and the rippled golden cap? Talk about vanity candy for sure.
Anna Sui Nail Color in Mysterious Violet ($12, beauty.com)
Like the other pieces in her cosmetic collection, Anna Sui serves up a seriously stylish nail polish bottle with this bell-shaped polish. Plus the lacquer shades are just as eye-catching.
Nailtini Nail Lacquer in Champagne ($13, tinibeauty.com)
The bottle itself might be fairly standard on Nailtini’s cocktail-inspired line, but the martini glass design is adorable enough to warrant a Gram.
Nonie Creme Colour Prevails Nail Lacquer in Privileged ($8, walgreens.com)
This drugstore find is not only a great option for anyone wanting to score a mani with some serious pop, but the ergonomic handle mimics a butterfly wing and fits snug in your grip.
JINsoon Nail Lacquer in Soiree ($20, nordstrom.com)
Minimalists will swoon over JINsoon’s streamline rectangular bottle. Plus the petite size makes it ideal for holding when showing off your next manicure.
Christian Louboutin Beauty Nail Polish in Rouge Louboutin ($50, net-a-porter.com)
We don’t have to tell you this is the queen of all nail polish bottles. The Louboutin-inspired bottle mimics the spike of a heel and warrants just as many “oohs” and “ahhs” as a designer shoe itself.
