sun Moroccanoil Is Adding SPF to Its Already Impressive Lineup

At this point, summer is pretty much synonymous with Moroccanoil products. One whiff of the brand’s fragrant beauty treatment oils and you’ll agree. There’s just something about that signature tropical scent that simply screams beach trip. Finally, you can take that seasonal association one step further as the brand is filling its void with a body sun protection collection.

Ironically enough, this is Moroccanoil’s first-ever take on sun care – even though their entire line of products (that we want to bathe in 24/7) makes us think of the ocean. Complete with both an SPF 30 and SPF 50 lotion, a sun oil, and an after-sun body milk, you now have a way more practical reason for slathering the brands nourishing products before you hit the beach. It’s kind of a dream multi-tasker.

This sunscreen actually includes a new scent, Monoï perfume-oil, which is said to be made by soaking gardenia petals in coconut oil. Along with nourishing and moisturizing ingredients like argan oil and coconut oil, the SPF very well could be a big player in keeping skin hydrated. It actually includes glycerin, which is a powerful humectant that helps prevent moisture from escaping.

We got our hands on the sun lotion and we can vouch that it definitely smells amazing. Given the fact that its water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, we’ll be hoping and praying the scent lasts through at least a few waves, too. It also absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave you with that annoying greasy after-feel.

It’s a no-brainer that the sun’s rays can wreak havoc on skin over time, so on a more serious note, we’re glad to see Moroccanoil is making strides with SPF. And also for giving us another reason to smell like the shore, obviously.
