Amid the smattering of teasers Lisa Eldridge tweeted and Facebooked to her followers this week, Lancôme has just announced that the popular British makeup artist and YouTube superstar will become their new Global Creative Director of Makeup. Eldridge announced it on her Instagram and Facebook page with a short video shot at Lancôme’s Paris Atelier, where she’ll be creating new products and collections for the French brand, along with application gesture techniques and yes– more of her famed makeup tutorial videos.

With a laid-back approach to luxury and down to earth elegance, Lisa Eldridge’s YouTube makeup tutorials have made her a favorite among beauty fanatics, but her makeup artistry backstage as well on the pages of fashions mags (Vogue, Allure and Elle, to name a few) have garnered her a lengthy list of celebrity clientele. Technical skill and creative spirit are key for a good makeup artist, but Lisa Edridge’s ability to execute and communicate natural beauty looks as well as the most high-drama glamour looks with her signature congenial wit, is a unique talent that has gained the trust of beauty industry vets and anyone else seeking out beauty advice on the internet.

It’s no surprise that Eldridge would find herself at the helm of Lancôme, having worked their counter at Harrods 20 years ago. Her new role with the brand will no doubt bring her celebrated vision and talents to a global level.
