Khloé Kardashian Shares Her Food and Fitness Diary

Khloe-Kardashian-food-and-fitness-diary-article

In case you hadn’t noticed, Khloé Kardashian is looking particularly fabulous right now. First, there was that hair color change—a total bombshell move—followed by a smoking hot photo shoot for Complex in which the reality-TV star stripped down at the gym (because when you look that good half naked, why not?). And the gym is where Khloé’s actually been spending a lot of time lately: The star attributes her recent 35-pound weight loss to a strict workout routine.

Khloé’s very public shape-up has serendipitously (or cleverly!) coincided with the launch of her first book, Strong Looks Better Naked ($26.99). In it, she candidly talks about her personal struggles with weight, relationships, and self-image, as well as the importance of a idealizing a strong body, rather than a skinny one.

Like the rest of the world, we’ve been eyeing this particular Kardashian’s physical transformation with awe, and we have so many questions for the newly published health writer about her recent focus on fitness. Thankfully, the Kardashians are nothing if not open, so Khloé shared with us a page from her food and fitness diary. Keep reading to find out exactly what she eats and how she works out.

For breakfast I had:
A Starbucks chai latte, a Justin’s almond butter pack, and a banana.

For lunch I had:
A Health Nut Chinese chicken salad with added avocado and a mango iced tea.

For dinner I had:
Rice, chicken breast, and steamed veggies.

Today I snacked on:
Raspberries, candied walnuts, pita chips and hummus, iced green tea all throughout the day, and a few handfuls of Skittles. I’m a huge grazer!

The one thing I would never eat is:
Pork! I would never, ever eat pork.

My all-time favorite workout is:
I love switching up my workouts. I find it really fun, and it keeps you wanting to work out. I’m not sure of my all-time favorite, but I loved when we were in St. Barts and did a spin class in the pool! It was fantastic and super hard.

The next big health and fitness trend will be:
I’m not sure, but I’m waiting for someone to come up with a workout that involves those boards that everyone rides around on [called Segways]. People are getting so lazy that they don’t even walk anymore. So hopefully they’ll come up with something creative to incorporate those.

The health trend I just can’t get behind is:
The raw milk trend. Fans of raw milk, also known as “real” milk, say that skipping the pasteurization process makes for greater antimicrobial and immune-boosting properties.

My favorite healthy restaurant is:
Urth Caffé.

My favorite healthy snack is:
I’m obsessed with celery and almond butter.

My favorite Instagram accounts are:
Lyzabeth Lopez: @lyzabethlopez
Detox Guide: @detoxguide
Eliminate Cellulite: @eliminatecellulite

The three ingredients you’ll always find in my kitchen are:
Truffle oil, clarified butter, and almond oil.

My signature healthy dish is:
Brown rice, snap peas, and pine nuts. Or I love chicken breast and steamed veggies with hummus.

The top three songs on my workout playlist right now are:
Meek Mill‘s “Monster,” “Future” by Freak Hoe, anything Beyoncé.

The best part of my job is:
Getting to be with my family all day long! I get to see my nieces and nephew grow up in front of my eyes and not just on the holidays.

I start an average day by:
[Waking up at] 5:00 a.m.!

My favorite activewear brands are:
Nike, Adidas, and APL.
