Kate Middleton‘s hair (along with Kate herself) turns 32 today, so what better time to impart the wisdom it has bestowed upon us? Yes, that’s right: Kate’s hair has taught us some important beauty lessons throughout the years.
1. It’s not boring, it’s classic.
Wearing the same hairstyle day in and day out may feel a bit tired, but when you have a look that works for you, there’s no need to mess it up. Kate could wear her hair down every single day, and you wouldn’t hear us complain.
2. Some well-placed layers can make all the difference.
Even in a photo you can see the gorgeous movement in the Duchess’ hair. The cause? A few layers and some face-framing tapering. Demand them from your hairstylist immediately.
3. A classic updo is everything.
While she doesn’t need to, Kate switches it up every once and again with an updo. The result is a timeless look that oozes grace.
4. It’s okay to go gray.
Do you think Kate’s hair gives a damn about gray roots? Nope! That hair knows it’s gorgeous and will flaunt it with or without fresh color.
5. Nothing can make good hair look bad.
Kate, like a lot of British royals, has worn some less-than-flattering hair accessories. Somehow, though, they manage to look chic and, at times, downright adorable. The lesson is good hair will prevail, no matter what.
