If there's one celebrity who's made big changes to her appearance over the past few years, it's Julianne Hough. The dancer/singer/actress has dramatically improved her hair (and makeup) game over the years.
In 2007, Julianne was just a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars. But what she lacked in fame, she made up for in blue eye shadow.

By 2008, she discovered the power of extensions (both hair and eyelash) and wore them proudly.

Later in 2008, she embraced her country singer side and walked the red carpet with large, bouncy curls.

In 2010, she opted for stick straight strands.

Julianne briefly dyed her hair chestnut brown for the filming of Footloose.

By 2011 she was back to blonde and sporting a Grace Kelly-inspired updo to the Golden Globes.

She went bigger and bolder in 2011 at the Footloose premiere.

Although she wore a tad too much makeup to a 2011 event, we adored the glam curls she paired it with.

We love the top knot she wore in 2012 to the Rock of Ages premiere.

Seemingly overnight, Hough transitioned into a seriously chic red carpet fixture, but we have to give credit to the gorgeous, chin-length haircut she got in 2012. She can thank the movie Safe Haven for the stylish 'do, which she's more or less kept ever since.

Two steps forward, three steps back. For the 2012 Emmys, she wore a faux bob that wasn't particularly flattering.

She certainly pulled off this faux hawk, though, at a 2012 film premiere.

By 2013, Julianne had nailed both the hair length and color. This look is by far our favorite!
