We’ve given you the inside tips on curling your hair before, either by using hot rollers or the latest and greatest in curling irons. Now it’s time to try something new that may sound crazy: using a hair straightener in order to get boho, uneven curls. Dallin from the Marie Robinson Salon gives us the step by step here, using TIGI Catwalk and L’oreal products.

Step 1: Start with completely dry hair. Use TIGI Catwalk heat protectant spray before using hot tools.

Step 3: Continue wrapping individual sections of hair around the iron.

Step 2: Use a 1-inch flat iron, the smaller the better. Take sections the same size as the iron, wrap hair around and twist through.

Step 4: Once you have everything curled, break it up with L'Oreal Texture Expert Hairspray.
