We’re always intrigued to see the hair and makeup our favorite celebrities debut at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. While the beauty looks weren’t as shocking as what we’d see on the Oscars or Grammys red carpets (celebs seemed to have played it pretty safe), we were nevertheless left inspired, impressed, and ready to test out every single one of the many loose waves and nude lipstick combos we spotted. That trend was undeniable.

From Laverne Cox‘s curls to Amanda Peet‘s ponytail to Christina Hendricks‘s cat-eye, check out a few of the very best hair and makeup moments of the evening.

As ponytail lovers, we were more than thrilled to see actress Amanda Peet bring this gym classic to the red carpet. Pulling her brunette locks into a messy pony, she finished off her soft, feminine look with rose-hued lipstick.

We're totally into that messy chignon and parted bangs combination that Christina Hendricks picked for the SAGs, but it's that perfect cat-eye that really impressed us.

Actress Sola Bamis accented her canary yellow gown with glitter gold eyeliner and bravely added a pop of color with hot pink lipstick. In our opinion, that bold lip made the entire look.

Kiernan Shipka defined natural beauty (and eyebrow goals!) with her effortless hairstyle and simplistic, fresh makeup.

Not sure what eye makeup to pair with your vampy lipstick? Channel the gorgeous and talented Viola Davis and rock it with purple shimmery shadow.

Oscar nominee Alicia Vikander's metallic eye makeup called for a sleek, shiny, and super straight hairstyle, which we can only guess was courtesy of one amazing flatiron—and stylist!

If there's anyone who will make you want a bob ASAP, it's Rachel McAdams. Her curly 'do went perfectly with her nude lipstick and fluttery lashes.

The Mara sisters dominated the SAGs red carpet with their incredible beauty looks. While Rooney Mara went for a unique high ponytail creation and minimal makeup (but lots of lashes), Kate Mara opted for texture in her grown-out pixie and a touch of metallic eye makeup.

This girl just glows! Claire Danes's nude lipstick, shimmery shadow, and easy yet incredibly chic hairstyle totally won us over.
