Just take a look at Rachel Weisz on the cover of September’s Marie Claire UK. Her piecey waves are the perfect transition — structured while also being loose and a little carefree. Step 2: Spray Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ($39, at the roots for added lift and hold.

Step 3: Use a 1-inch curling iron, such as Brazilian Heat After Dark Titanium Curling Iron ($49.99, on 2-inch square sections to create spiral curls around the whole head.

Step 4: After hair has cooled a bit, brush the curls out and spray a little more Dry Texturizing Spray to finish with more movement to the hair.
