Dolce & Gabbana summer 2013 Love in Taormina nail polish

Your summer mani/pedi just got a lot more colorful. The new nail polish shades from Dolce & Gabbana‘s Summer 2013 Love in Taormina makeup collection are meant to evoke a bouquet of flowers from the namesake Sicilian town, and every last one is a keeper.

The lineup features five new shades named for Italian flowers, plus two existing shades to round out the collection:

Fire – vibrant orange red
Camelia – fluorescent coral
Ibisco – dark pink with coral undertones
Oleandro – soft pearlescent pink
Bouganville – rich fuchsia with a touch of purple
Iris – deep violet
True White – pearlescent white

The new Dolce & Gabbana Nail Care line is also debuting along with the new hues, and features a base coat, high shine top coat and matte top coat.

Renowned makeup artist and Dolce & Gabbana Make Up creative advisor Pat McGrath used colors from the house’s spring-summer runway collection in the Love in Taormina lineup, and curated the nail lacquers to be mixed and matched. “I like to use colors that really pop for maximum impact, such as Iris on the base of the nail and then the tip in Ibisco. Then, play with texture by applying first the matte top coat and then the high shine top coat on the fuchsia tip,” McGrath says.
