It’s no secret that curls come in all different shapes and sizes. From big and bouncy to short and tight, no two coils are created the same. Curls can be a source of diversity and uniqueness as well as confidence and self-expression.
To encourage women with curls to share their love of their hair with the whole world, Dove Hair just launched Love Your Curls, a campaign that includes an emoji keyboard available for free download in the Apple App Store and via Google Play. Designed specifically with curly-haired ladies in mind, the emojis featured in Dove Hair’s app are unlike the standard, straight-haired social characters we’re all used to.
In fact, this new app specifically features emojis rocking various versions of curls. These playful new emojis make it incredibly easy for curly-haired women to personally share their love of their coils with their friends and family through their favorite social media outlet. In addition, Dove Hair will be partnering with Twitter to generate a custom curly-haired emoji each time a user tweets a message accompanied by #LoveYourCurls.
In honor of Dove Hair’s new campaign to teach curly-haired women everywhere to embrace and love their locks, we found six real women—including some of our favorite fashion bloggers—who rock their unique curls every single day. We even recruited an expert hairstylist from Devachan Salon in New York City to provide tips and tricks so curly-haired ladies everywhere can have their best curls ever.
