As far as #hairgoals go, Blake Lively has pretty much always been a source of endless inspo. Since her days as an Upper East Sider on “Gossip Girl,” the starlet’s super-dimensional shade and perfect waves have been copied, envied, and never (publicly) brassy, overly-bleached or fried, making her the quintessential American blonde bombshell.

That’s why we’re shocked the 27-year-old decided to ditch her signature color for a new bronde shade.

Yes, bronde.

Blake uploaded a photo of her new look—a rich brunette shade with golden tonalities and highlights—on Instagram, captioning the snap: “Brondes have more fun #NoTypos. IKnowIThinkItsCrazyToo.”

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, bronde is a mix between blonde and brunette—you can still see golden highlights in Blake’s bronze-y brown—and we’re totally digging it. It’s got a ton of dimension and looks like a brunette shade that’s been sun-kissed to perfection.
