Could your continuos search for the best pink lipsticks be coming to an end? It looks like it. With spring here, pink is likely being incorporated into your makeup looks more often than in months past, making it a good time to find your perfect shade. Us too, which is why we sought the expertise of five celebrity makeup artists. According to them, these five are worth adding to your collection.

Pink is the perfect lip color to welcome spring. After a long winter, a bold pink lip gives any complexion a brighting cheery effect. My favorite pink of the moment is Cargo Cosmetics Essential Lip Color in Punta Cana ($22, ulta.com) – a bright full coverage fuchsia pink lipstick that is both moisturizing as well as plumping for color that stays put for hours. When wearing a fun pink lip, keep the eye clean and simple (curled lashes and full eyebrows) or add a stroke of winged eyeliner for a dash of retro charm. —David Maderich, makeup artist in New York City

My absolute favorite is actually a lip liner—Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner in Shocking Pink ($20, nordstrom.com). Lay down GlamGlow PlumpRageous Matte Lip Treatment ($24, glamglowmud.com) first and you’ve got a killer hot-pink pout. GlamGlow plumps and preps the lips for perfect application. (It tingles, but it’s worth it.) The Smashbox lip liner glides on smooth, lasts forever and is flattering on all complexions. You can layer a lipstick over it—I like Smashbox Be Legendary Matte Lipstick in Publicist ($21, smashbox.com)—but the liner holds up on its own.—Laura Jane Schierhorn, makeup artist in Southern California

I love Burt’s Bees Lipstick in Iced Iris ($9, burtsbees.com). It’s affordable and contains 100 percent natural ingredients that keep your lips moisturized and conditioned. Flattering on almost all skin tones, this shade goes well with a fresh-faced bare look or when spiced up with a smokey eye.—Allan Avendano, makeup artist in Los Angeles

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Empress ($28, hourglasscosmetics.com) is perfect if you don’t particularly like bright or flashy colors, but do want a subtle pop. It tones down as it dries into a beautiful magenta hue that’s lovely for spring and summer. With this color, I’d play up the eyes by adding top-wing liner or a soft smokey eye to awaken the face and compliment the lips. If you’re feeling extra playful, you could add a colored mascara such as navy or cobalt blue.—Latisha Nicole Rankin, beauty blogger and makeup artist in New York City

Pink is so universally flattering. It’s definitely a mainstay in my kit. The key is to find a pink that is like your lip color, just a little more vivid. I love ColourPop Lippie Stix in Frida ($5, colourpop.com). It gives a great lift of color with an on-trend satin finish. And the best part is that it’s only five bucks!—Brett Freedman, makeup artist in Los Angeles
