The Best Fitness YouTube Stars to Follow for Your At-Home Workout

As temperatures take a nosedive, so does the likelihood that you’ll spot us venturing out to the gym. Sorry, but snow just isn’t conducive to walking outside to Pilates.

Fortunately (unfortunately?) that doesn’t mean you have to take a hiatus from exercise over the winter. Even if your gym is closed over the holiday season, there are thousands of incredible online exercise routines you can follow at home for free. One minute, the Internet is fueling your lazy afternoon of Netflix binging, but the next, it could be spurring your at-home workout.

Whether you’re into Pilates, yoga, or hardcore cardio, we’re spotlighting 10 of the best fitness YouTube channels to subscribe to right now. Most of these require zero equipment—which leaves you with zero excuses.

Blogilates

More than two million fitness nuts subscribe to watch Casey Ho‘s professionally produced online Pilates sequences. Classes are short and snappy but intense. Anyone short on time should check out the three-minute turbo-Pilates series—we’re big fans of the quick butt-shaper class.

BeFit

Head here for free, high-intensity classes designed to burn fat and sculpt lean muscle. No equipment needed, which is a major bonus. New workouts are added every week, and there are hundreds already in the archive, so you can really make this channel part of your regular fitness routine.

It’s also worth checking out BeFit for its 90- and 30-day systems, which focus on things like lifting your butt, building a six-pack, and shedding weight. You’ll find routines from celebrity trainers like Jillian Michaels, Denise Austin, Jane Fonda, and Scott Herman.

BodyRock

Some of these high-intensity circuits require basic equipment like a jump rope, mat, or dumbbell, but if you don’t have any equipment, there are plenty of body weight–based circuits too. Each of these free workouts will get your heart rate up and burn serious calories. Looking for a place to start? Head to the 30-day fitness challenge.

XHIT Daily

Celebrity-based routines like the Beyoncé Butt Workout and Jessica Alba Ab Workout make XHIT Daily seriously popular. This channel’s How to Train Like a Victoria’s Secret Model workout has accrued more than three million views, so you might want to try that one first. Instructors are friendly and motivating, and you’ll often spot guest appearances from celebrity trainers like Andrea Orbeck. She’s responsible for those Victoria’s Secret models’ rigs, NBD.

Yoga with Adriene

More than a million people subscribe to the Yoga with Adriene channel. While some of her classes are more advanced, most are skewed toward rookies. If you’re completely new, try the 30 Days of Yoga challenge.

Fitness Blender

Fitness Blender allows users to search for workouts by type of training, length, difficulty, muscles used, and the number of calories burned. It’s run by a husband-and-wife team and offers hundreds of workouts including Pilates, body weight training, HIIT, strength training, cardio, kettlebell, circuits, and yoga. Even if you’re just starting out, you’ll find something here. Check out their ab workouts to tone your midsection at home.

Fit Strong and Sexy

Subscribe to Amanda Russell‘s channel for cardio and toning routines tailored specifically to women. If you’re time poor (same), try her Short on Time series first.

Sarah Fit

Blogger Sarah Fit has been uploading fitness videos since 2006 and was one of the earliest vloggers on YouTube. New workout or recipe videos land every Tuesday and Thursday.

Tara Stiles Yoga

Both Jane Fonda and Deepak Chopra rate Tara Stiles‘s yoga classes, so it’s easy to understand why hundreds of thousands of people follow the yogi on YouTube for her free sequences. Routines are broken down into topics, including yoga to help you relax before bed or classes to improve flexibility.

Sweat with Lauren Hefez

Most of Hefez’s clips target areas like your butt, hips, thighs, and abs, and they generally last about 10 minutes, so you can easily fit in a couple of clips per workout. If it’s weight loss you’re chasing (and you have a bit of open space in your house!), try this cardio workout.
